April 8 - Tyler Chamber Day. From 6 a.m. - 5 p.m., Chamber representatives will promote Nacogdoches - tourism, SFA, retirement - at Tyler Pounds Regional Airport. You can help and attend the Tyler Area Chamber Business After Hours from 5 - 7 p.m.
April 17 - Ribbon Cutting, 10 a.m., Appleby Fire Department, 14760 U.S. Hwy. 59 N.
Chief Tim Hooper, Assistant Chief Dave Crawford, 559-5166. New facility. Barbecue dinner begins at 11 am. $9/plate, eat in or take out.
April 20 - Ribbon Cutting, 4:45 p.m., Pizza Hut of Nacogdoches, 2619 North St. Owners Paula and Larry Marshall; General Manager Priscilla Ward, 569-7257. 40 year anniversary and restaurant remodel. Open House from 5 - 6 p.m. Hot Food Bar open and refreshing beverages will be served to guests.
