The Lone Star Legislative Summit will explore how the past has shaped Nacogdoches in to what it is today. Take part in the discussions of what Nacogdoches can become.
"The Nacogdoches County Chamber's Government Affairs Committee works with the event co-hosts Senator Robert Nichols and Representative Travis Clardy to put together an event that will address important issues that affect our region," said Government Affairs Committee Chair Scarlett Sloane.
All events are open to the public. Panel discussion sessions are free to attend.
Event keynote speakers are Glenn Hegar, Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and Mike Morath, Commissioner of the Texas Education Agency.
Panel discussions include: Diversity and Race in Texas; Educating 21st Century Texans; 300 Years Later - Still Gone to Texas!; Healthy, Wealthy & Wise - The Future of Healthcare in Texas; and Roots, Boots, Blues and Rock: How Music Shapes Us as Texans.
