Beginning on Monday, August 3rd, the SFA physical plant department will begin the process of repairing the eastbound lane of E. College Street between Raguet Street and Wilson Drive. This work will cause traffic disruption throughout the project; however all parking lots will remain accessible. The work is expected to be completed by the end of the day on Friday, August 7th, but may take longer due to weather conditions or unforeseen underground issues.
During the entirety of the project, all thru traffic will be detoured to the north of Steen Hall and the College of Forestry as follows:
East-bound thru traffic on E. College will be re-routed north on Raguet St. to Hayter and through the Steen Hall parking lot before turning east back onto E. College.
West-bound thru traffic on E. College may be re-routed through the Steen Hall parking lot, to Hayter and then to Raguet St. before turning west back onto E. College.
In addition, street parking on E. College St. will not be allowed in the work zone in order to facilitate the heavy equipment necessary to complete the job. Vehicles must be relocated prior to work commencing.
We apologize for any inconvenience this work may cause, but it is necessary to prevent unplanned street closures at inopportune times.
