Here are more details about the 2015 East Texas Book Fest's two full days of events.
·         Day 1 concentrates on education and learning through two tracks. The first features well-known scholars and professionals who demonstrate best practices in teaching people to read and write and many ways to use these skills to enrich their lives. The second track focuses on the crafts of writing and publishing books. Outstanding authors, agents, and publishers lead these seminars and workshops. For one small fee, participants can make their own choices from among six essential and extraordinary seminars and workshops presented during the day. Also, they can earn continuing education credits for many of them. Attendees will pay a $40 fee to attend. If they pre-register, they will get a free lunch as well.

·         Day 2 is fabulous, fun, and free to the public. More than 100 published authors exhibit, sell, and sign their books while they chat with attendees. Ten break-out sessions offer participants opportunities to learn more about books and their topics from selected authors, agents, publishers, and literacy specialists. These writers and other experts will cover all age groups and many genres. Musicians, videos, costumed actors, games, and story-tellers will amuse children and adults alike throughout the day. Plus many organizations and practitioners will be on hand to offer advice and handouts.
