Utility relocation not to affect patrons and residents
Posted 08/13/2015

An upcoming utilities relocation project on Starr Avenue will incrementally affect the areas between North Street and Mound Street in preparation for an upcoming TXDOT street widening project.
“It is important residents and patrons in this area, know they will not be affected,” City Engineer, Steve Bartlett said. “Local traffic including residents at nearby apartments and those accessing businesses in this area will be permitted and guided by signage.”
Through traffic will however, not be permitted. Therefore, residents should plan their routes accordingly.
This project is a long-term TXDOT development to allow for wider, more accessible streets for Nacogdoches residents. City staff and TXDOT will work closely throughout the duration of this project to ensure clear access and minimal disruptions.
