Nacogdoches ISD School Board Members vote to approve the bid for Phase 2 construction at the Nacogdoches ISD Technical Training Center and Malcolm Rector Technical High School
The Nacogdoches ISD school board voted to approve the bid for Phase 2 construction at the Nacogdoches ISD Technical Training Center from TCMC Commercial for $693,000 at a meeting held at 7:45 a.m. on August 31, 2015.
Phase 2 will complete construction of all classrooms, flex labs and the general-purpose room. This does not include the welding building.
“I am excited that construction will soon be completed and students will be moving into the Malcolm Rector Technical High School in January” says Dr. Fred Hayes, Nacogdoches ISD Superintendent, after the morning meeting.
Bob Coker, Director of the Nacogdoches Technical Training Center said “ Nacogdoches ISD will be able to provide career and technical training to Nacogdoches County students throughout the day in a non-traditional and flexible learning environment.”
“We are please that the Board approved this bid from TMTC Commercial and that construction will soon be completed and we are on schedule to have our students start the second semester in the new facility and utilize this great space” said Grey Burton, Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services.
