OPEN CASTING CALL IN RUSK SEEKS 12-YEAR-OLD BOY FOR LEAD ROLE IN MAJOR FEATURE FILM!
Vicky Boone Casting is holding an open casting call for funny and imaginative boys, ages 11-13, for a lead role in an upcoming father-son story. This film, currently referred to as The Untitled Jody Hill Project, is co-written and directed by television writer/director Jody Hill (Eastbound & Down, Vice Principals) and stars Josh Brolin (True Grit, Everest) and Danny McBride (Eastbound & Down). The boy will play Josh Brolin's son in the movie. The film shoots in Asheville, NC from late October through late December 2015.
The open casting call will be held Saturday, October 10, in Rusk at The Cherokee Civic Theatre, 157 West 5th Street, Rusk, TX 75785. The casting call will be from 11a-5p. Kids will be seen on a first-come, first-seen basis. No acting experience is necessary and no appointment required. If cast, compensation will be on the scale of professional actors.
For story purposes, we are looking for a male, caucasian kid, age 11-13, that fits the following description:
*TRUE 12 YEAR OLD
*OPEN TO ALL DIFFERENT TYPES OF LOOKS & BODY TYPES
*OUT OF SHAPE KIDS ARE A PLUS
*ALTHOUGH IT IS NOT NECESSARY, GUITAR PLAYING IS A PLUS
*WE ARE VERY OPEN TO KIDS THAT HAVE NO ACTING EXPERIENCE!
