The annual East Texas Development Summit will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Pitser Garrison Convention Center, 601 N. 2nd Street Lufkin, Texas 75901.

State legislations and stste agencies will speak on key topics for the summit include water, economic development skills and training and teaching. The Forest Country Region will also give awards to small businesses. 

The counties partnered with the Texas Forest Country include Angelina, Houston, Jasper, Nacogdoches, Newton, Panola, Polk, Sabine, San Augustine, San Jacinto, Shelby, Trinity and Tyler. 

The event will be presented by First Bank & Trust.
