The Judy B. McDonald Public Library invites adults to color their cares away at a free drop-in coloring hour on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. All materials are provided.
“Coloring for adults is a nationwide phenomenon, and many people are using the method typically reserved for children as a way to relieve stress and express some creativity,” says Crystal Hicks, assistant library director. “Adult coloring pages are intricate, and the materials used can range from crayons to artist quality pens, markers and pencils. The community really responded when we first proposed the idea, and it seems to be taking off.”
There are all sorts of events offered for free at the library year round. The Friends of the Library are on Facebook (as Judy B. McDonald Public Library) and Twitter (as @friendsofnacpl).
