On February 22, Nacogdoches ISD Superintendent Fred Hayes signed the official paper work stating that the Technical Training Center is officially owned by Nacogdoches ISD.
“This is a great day for Nacogdoches ISD and we appreciate our community partners, Nacogdoches County; our local district partners, Keith Hand at Nibco; Texas Workforce commission; Nancy Windham and the Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation and Angelina College. It took a great deal of teamwork and patience to make this reality,”says Hayes.
The signing for the Technical Training Center is the completion of a large successful project that began six years ago. This project involved a dynamic set of players who shared a common vision- to educate and inspire everyone to achieve excellence.
This new facility is a result of a federal grant and serves the needs of:
- Nac ISD High School students
- Credit college students
- Students seeking industry certifications and skills training
- GED students
- ESL students
- Workforce training for industry and students
- Community service courses
- Distance Learning courses
