In addition to the computer classes that the Judy B. Public Library staff offers, two classes focusing specifically on job searching will be held this week. The library staff will offer Job Search and Assistance on Wednesday, February 24th. Participants will learn how to conduct safe and effective online job searches and applications and set up an email account.
On Friday, February 26th, the library staff will offer Resume Writing 101. Participants will learn how to write a resume, upload it to a website and learn how to save it for future editing.
“We know that it can be intimidating to have to apply for employment online. Many people are unsure where to go to look for jobs or how an online job application website works. We’re here to help. As a library, we want to help people learn and grow in various aspects of their lives. This is one way that we can help the community learn important life skills,” said Mercedes Franks, library director.
Both classes are from 3:00-4:30 pm at the public library located at 1112 North Street. To register for your free spot, please call 559-2970.
