Nacogdoches Music Festival (formerly Big Nac) will have close to 50 shows over four days beginning March 3.  Shows are held in historic downtown Nacogdoches, across several venues within walking distance of each other.  Bands and performers from all over the USA will be featured along with East Texas favorites. 
“We are excited to have several of the same performers back from the 2015 festival and look forward to some new bands.  Headlining on Saturday night are Clay Walker and Chris Knight, each playing at separate venues.  Shinyribs, Soul Track Mind, Chubby Knuckle Choir, The Bellfuries and many others left a lasting impression on 2015 festival-goers and will be back.  The same venues are participating again and we are pleased to include Cole Art Museum for a free performance, lecture and exhibit from Charles Jones, stated Kati Kennedy, festival committee member.  Native Waves, a collaboration of Austin bands featured during a showcase at Austin’s SXSW in 2015 will have several of its member bands perform during Saturday’s free shows as well as ticketed shows Saturday night.  “The genres represented vary from bluegrass to soul, funk to country swing, songwriter to rock and roll, alternative to rockabilly.  There is truly something for every music lover,” remarked Kennedy.  

Ticket sales are available online at nacogdochesmusic.com as well as the lineup, venue information, and sponsorship opportunities.  “Ticket prices are less than last year with festival passes for all four days at only $35.  The ticket price is a value considering the number of shows and types of bands,” said Kennedy.
