The Lone Star Legislative Summit held March 2 and 3 celebrated Texas Independence and Nacogdoches Tricentennial. LSLS was presented by Texas Health Care Association and produced by the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce. State Sen. Robert Nichols and Rep. Travis Clardy hosted the summit and welcomed state legislature to Nacogdoches.
The Lone Star Reception was a good start to the summit. The reception included a Media Madness component with moderator Dr. John Hendricks, Chair & Professor - Dept. of Mass Communication at SFASU and media panel guests - Scott Braddock is a journalist and political analyst based in Austin, Texas - The Quorum Report Robert "Bob" Garrett, Reporter Dallas Morning News Chris Perkins, Partner at WPA Opinion Research Jay Root, Reporter, The Texas Tribune
