The Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce concluded a successful and fun 19th Annual Blueberry Golf Bash on Friday, April 8 at Piney Woods Country Club.
Low gross winning team with a score of 56 - Senior Care of Stallings Court Health & Rehabilitation with players Nathan Weant, Stetson McMillian, Shane Toner and Mitch Ashley.
Second low gross was the Wormburners with players Dr. Russell Brewster, Craig King, Bill Brewster and Stetson McMillian with a score of 57.
Low net winner was NIBCO INC. with a net score of 50.2. Team members included Scott Molandes, Pat Howell, Scott Busbee and Jesse Richardson.
Second place low net was the Oncor Electric Delivery team, scoring 50.4 net. Team members were Grady Cashion, Mike Rietzel, Mike Haney and Billy Weisinger.
Third place low net was the W. Albert Weatherly, Attorney at Law team made up of Albert Weatherly, Wes Jenson, Ken Deppisch and Jared Johnson. They scored 51.0 net.
Fourth place low net was the Wells Fargo Advisors- Wendy Buchanan team of Mike Buchanan, Mike Johnson, Tracy Littleton and Joe Butters scoring 52.5 net.
Co-chairs Trish Holt and Ben Wright made use of morning and afternoon starting times to accommodate a total of 37 teams. To commemorate the 19th anniversary of the Chamber golf event, a special prize was given to the Allstate Insurance Co. - Chris Clark team, which finished in 19th place, with a net score of 56.9. Team members were Chris Clark, Doug Olle, Drew Huffty and Wayne Harris.
Tournament meals were provided by Piney Woods Country Club and Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers.
PWCC Pro Shop gift certificates were awarded to the top placing teams. Golfers enjoyed other competitions including the Academy Sports & Outdoors Putting Contest, and had a chance to win $30,000 in the Curtis & Clark Energy Services Hole-in-One Shootout. Longest Drive Women's contest won by Katherine Harvey and Men's Longest Drive was awarded to Aaron McGuire. Closest to the Pin winner was Mike Rietzel.
