Chef Todd with SFA has a new intern and they are going to come out again and do several cooking demonstration using local produce and products from our market. The next one will be June 29th. It is a perfect excuse to come check out the different flow that a Wednesday market has. Texadus Family Farm - The Jones family from Texadus Family Farm in Timpson will be selling baked goods, spice blends, granolas, and jams and jellies made with local fruit and sweetened with local honey (NO SUGAR!!) They will have their hand crafted goat's milk soap made from their own goat's milk available (We milk the goats! We make the soap!). Come by, smell the soaps, and ask questions. They will also have laundry soap powder, chest rub, fire and ice salve, headache sticks, lip balms, tushie cream, Don’t Bug Me gel, and more. Millard Farms Millard Farms will have green beans, fresh frozen shelled pinto beans, cucumbers, beets, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, celery, greens (collard, kale, Swiss chard & turnip), kohlrabi, a variety of lettuce, red, yellow and white onions, parsley, dill, and possibly other fresh herbs, fresh frozen shelled purple hull peas, radishes, new potatoes, squash (yellow & zucchini), blackberries, strawberry preserves.
Louis Duffield will be selling blackberry, blueberry, plum, mayhaw jelly. Plum and peach jam. He will also have blueberry and blackberry plants, blackberries, squash, tomatoes, and cucumbers. Check out his website Stoney-Brookfarm.Com and his Facebook page for specials and updates.
Peggie Hobbs will be back. She sells aprons, assorted baby items, kitchen decor items, hand-made tote bags and sunbonnets, as well as, crocheted scarves and hats.
