Nacogdoches, Texas – August 1, 2016 – The Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation (EDC) announced today that Nancy C. Windham (pictured) has officially resigned from her two-year post as President & CEO effective August 31, 2016.
In her statement, Nancy explained that she has been given an opportunity to pursue other options to expand her economic development presence in the marketplace. She plans to remain in the East Texas region and keep her home in Nacogdoches. “Nacogdoches and Nacogdoches County are full of great people, resources and opportunities for growth. It has been a pleasure to serve the citizens and businesses in this capacity and my hopes are to continue to contribute support in the years to come.”
Nancy has been the President and CEO for the Nacogdoches EDC for the last two years, and in that time has been responsible for managing the day-to-day affairs of the EDC; developing and implementing effective economic development programs and activities, attracting new businesses and retaining and expanding existing businesses.
The Officers and Board of the Nacogdoches EDC are preparing for the interim period until a permanent replacement can be found for the position. Board Chair Jimmy Mize said that we will miss Nancy and her vast contacts around the State, but we are confident that we can find leadership that will continue to move our organization forward.
