Nacogdoches County 4-H’ers will begin their new year with the Annual 4-H Kick-Off Celebration on Saturday August 27th from 9:00 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Nacogdoches County Extension Office located on 203 West Main Street in Nacogdoches. This event is open to anyone interested in joining 4-H.
Highlights of the event include project exhibits showcasing projects that are popular in the county. Parents will receive information on 4-H Projects and Clubs in the county and have the opportunity to find out more about 4-H.
4-H offers over 50 different projects and 6 4-H Clubs in Nacogdoches County. 4-H has a wide range of activities and events for members to choose from, ranging from workforce preparation to fashion, from health & nutrition to performing arts, from animals to the environment. 4-H Youth Development programs provide hands-on learning, leadership, citizenship and life skills. 4-H offers many exciting chances for youth to have fun, but also learn by doing. Such chances are Teen Leadership Conferences, County Fairs and Achievement Days, 4-H Camp, and State Fairs, just to name a few.
