The new head of Mexico's General Consulate in Dallas, Francisco de la Torre Galindo (pictured center), made a special trip to Nacogdoches on Saturday. De la Torre Galindo was welcomed to the oldest town in Texas by Mayor Roger Van Horn and Mayor Pro Tem Shelley Brophy at the Charles Bright Visitor Center in historic downtown Nacogdoches. City officials gave De la Torre Galindo a pictorial book of Nacogdoches, written by Archie P. McDonald, to welcome him to the City of Nacogdoches.
