The Nacogdoches Youth Softball Association received a grant from The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation last Friday, September 16. These funds will be used to replace existing widescreens and backstop padding on four fields here in Nacogdoches.10 non-profit organizations, including the Nacogdoches Youth Softball Association, were awarded grants. 
The Globe Life Texas Rangers Baseball and Softball grants were presented during a pre-game ceremony prior to Saturday's game with the Oakland A's at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Jason Smith, the softball president, was in attendance to gratefully accept the grant on behalf of the association.
