Dowdy's focus at luncheon: academics, discipline
The Chamber’s Fourth Friday Luncheon presented by Nacogdoches I.S.D. is noon to 1 p.m., Oct. 28 at Austin Hall, 4603 North St. Nacogdoches I.S.D.
Interim Superintendent Sandra Dowdy, pictured. will give a review of state test scores from the '15 - '16 school year, and she will discuss the steps NISD is taking at the district, campus and classroom levels to improve performance. Dowdy will also explain the new district-wide CHAMPS discipline program. The event's Gold sponsor is Tutor Doctor.
The luncheon serves as the Chamber’s monthly membership meeting. Lunch is $16 at the door, and reservations are required by 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 26.
