Nacogdoches ISD's 5th Annual Bike and Toy Drive has been so generous in the past and Toys for Tots truly appreciates everyone's efforts in helping make Christmas unforgettable. This year, Nac ISD collected 84 bikes!
Nacogdoches ISD's goal for 2016 was to collect 150 bikes. Interim Superintendent Sandra Dowdy reached out to all the campuses and departments to donate bicycles for the children of Nacogdoches. Donations were dropped off at the District Support Center by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14. Nac ISD was able to collect 84 bicycles, more than 20 helmets and over four donation boxes full of toys! We had a larger amount of toys donated this year. All of the donations will be distributed by Toys for Tots to the families who registered through Love, Inc.
NISD gave in more ways than one this holiday season! NISD's three main focuses on giving to the community this year were collecting donated bicycles and toys for Toys for Tots, bell ringing for Salvation Army and participating in Love Inc.'s Shared Blessing event. We had a lot volunteers and donations gifted to these two organization as well. Nacogdoches ISD would like to thank everyone for helping make Christmas unforgettable for a child this year. Have a wonderful and safe holiday season. |
