About:  The first festival in 2017 is the Spring Mini Fest 5/5-5/7, which is the smallest of the festivals this year due to the recently formed non-profit, Friends of Nacogdoches Music, being awarded too close to the date of the festival to begin ticket sales or accept sponsor dollars until only 2 1/2 weeks prior to the festival.  In that short time, Friends of Nacogdoches Music was able to book and produce a well-rounded lineup of great performers and put together a festival with plenty of value and exposure for ticket holders and sponsors.  The main festival, Nacogdoches Music Festival, will be held the first weekend in August and will feature 4 days, 50 shows, and multiple venues.  The Fall Mini Fest will be the first weekend in October and will feature at least 25 shows over 3 days and multiple venues.  The Winter Mini Fest will be the first weekend in February, 2018.  These are exciting changes and the formation of Friends of Nacogdoches Music will allow for longevity and growth of the festivals as well as promotion of Nacogdoches and the local music scene.
