NACOGDOCHES – The Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce board of directors is asking for worthy candidate nominations for the Citizen of the Year award and for the Gary Justice Business Excellence Awards - small, medium and large businesses of the year and newly added Non-Profit Business of the Year.
"There are many Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce members that go above and beyond what is expected and what is necessary," said committee chairman Betty Shinn. "The addition of the non-profit award expands the recognition of deserving community partners that make a big difference in the quality of life we enjoy."
Award recipients will be honored at the 96th Annual Meeting and Membership Banquet on Sept. 26 at Fredonia Hotel & Convention Center, 200 N. Fredonia St. Event sponsorships are also available and may be secured by contacting the Nacogdoches County Chamber at 936-560-5533.
The nomination form may be downloaded from Hot News, a section near the bottom of the main page at nacogdoches.org and includes a listing of past award recipients. Anyone may submit nominations before the July 21 deadline.
