PROPERTY MANAGER / CARETAKER
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Property located in San Augustine requires a retired couple or single person to maintain the property. The property is near downtown; one house, two furnished apartments, and a commercial building on the square. You should be a non-smoker, addiction free, and a self-starter. Experience is required and references will be requested. The job is permanent but part –time (25 hr/wk estimated). COMPENSATION
- Rent-free furnished apartment with subsidized utilities
- Commercial building is available for your use
RESPONSIBILITIES
- All maintenance, cleaning, and repair to the structures and grounds
- Keep property leased
- Special projects – a continuous property improvement program which will be executed primarily in the winter when there is less activity with the lawn
- Drive me to the airport occasionally
- Care for animals – I have been adopted by a couple of cats.
EXPERIENCE
- Basic knowledge of most trade skills
- Basic knowledge of lawn care
- Basic knowledge of leasing property and dealing with people
A 30 - day trial period will be necessary to see if this arrangement will be mutually agreeable. This proposal is not set in “stone” so if you have suggestions to make it more equitable, I am open to new ideas.
