Rayborn East Texas Ice Cream (RETIC) headquartered in Nacogdoches, Texas is pleased to announce we have completed the purchase of the Great American Cookie (GAC) store in the Lufkin, Tx Mall. The acquisition of the Lufkin GAC increases the number of RETIC stores in the Nacogdoches/Lufkin area to four.
Keith Rayborn, President of RETIC stated that “the acquisition is part of the RETIC strategic plan to grow the business through organic initiatives and future mergers & acquisition.” RETIC currently owns and operates Marble Slab Creameries in Nacogdoches and Lufkin as well as a co-brand Marble Slab/Great American Cookie store on the Stephen F. Austin (SFA) campus.
Taylor Rayborn, General Manager of RETIC also announced that “RETIC plans to add Great American Cookie products to the Nacogdoches Marble Slab North Street location in the first quarter of 2020.” This will provide easier access to Great American Cookies to Nacogdoches residents.
RETIC is a limited liability company formed in 2017 to purchase and operate specialty retail food stores in East Texas with potential expansion in Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico.
