Corvette Caravan traveling through Nacogdoches Aug. 27
Often referred to as the world’s largest moving automotive event, the National Corvette Caravan is a celebration of America’s Sports Car, culminating in Bowling Green, Kentucky, for the anniversary celebration of the National Corvette Museum. Hosted only once every five years, Regional caravans will form and join other caravans as they travel across the United States to meet for four days of festivities at the National Corvette Museum.
Of the 5,000 Corvettes completing the caravan, approximately 75 from the Houston area will be traveling through and stopping in Nacogdoches Tuesday, Aug. 27, before continuing their journey to Texarkana to meet up with another 250.
The cars are expected to arrive at approximately 9 a.m. to the Nacogdoches Exposition and Civic Center where they will park and enter the facility for a short rest. After 30-45 minutes, the cars will depart and re-enter the loop to head out of town. The event is expected to be quite the spectacle. Local car enthusiasts are invited to view the caravan as it enters, parks at and departs the expo center.
