Meet the Intern
Alex Bashelor
Fall 2019

My "professional" name is Alexandria Bashelor, however, I usually answer to "Alex." I've lived in Dallas and currently, my family resides in Austin where I plan to live after graduation.
I am currently attending my senior year at Stephen F. Austin University, and in December I will receive my Bachelors in English and Technical Writing. After paying some of my loans back, I do plan on going back to school so that I may receive a teaching degree so that I may one day teach fifth grade English.
My time at the Chamber has been wonderful and has given me so much knowledge. At first I was nervous because I didn't know what a chamber was and I had no idea what they did, but I've learned so much in a short time and I can't wait to see what I learn next. I believe that The Nacogdoches Chamber of Commerce not only helps strengthen our community, but helps it flourish as well.
By helping different businesses connect with one another The Chamber connects those businesses to the community as well, helping with their growth and development.

We realize many of the extraordinary students that will attend SFA come and go. However, we are fortunate as a community when some do decide to stay in our community. I personally know my company has benefited from an out of state student that we would have never had the opportunity to meet had he not chosen to attend SFA. We are excited that SFA helps keep our work force staffed with “new Lumberjacks” especially when they decide to make our community their home.
