LUFKIN, TX — The Angelina Arts Alliance and its Strategic Planners are excited to announce a public forum entitled Advancing the Arts in Angelina County as part of its overall Strategic Planning Process to take place at the Pines Theater on Tuesday, December 10 at 6pm. Complimentary refreshments will be provided. The event is open and free to the public. No tickets or reservations are required.
This event will give everyone the opportunity to meet Suzanne Smith, CEO and Founder of Social Impact Architects of Dallas and give input regarding current and future opportunities to create greater artistic and cultural opportunities for all residents and visitors of Lufkin, Angelina County and the surrounding region.
The Angelina Arts Alliance Executive Director, Jennifer Allen, and members of the Arts Alliance Board of Directors invites everyone to participate in an open discussion which will be moderated by Suzanne Smith. Community feedback is necessary to enable the Angelina Arts Alliance to plan for its future and help guide its strategic planning process.
Earlier this year, the Arts Alliance held two public forums regarding the future programs at the Pines Theater and as part of its new agreement with the City of Lufkin. This community conversation is a continuation of a greater community dialogue regarding the role of the arts in the overall development and success of our community.
“The arts are critical to the vitality of every community and we are thrilled to be part of a greater vision for Lufkin by expanding our mission to enrich the community through the performing arts,” said Jennifer Allen, Executive Director for the Angelina Arts Alliance.
The Angelina Arts Alliance is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to enrich, entertain and educate by presenting and promoting the performing arts.
