In August 2019, Dakota Marks (pictured above) joined the SERVPRO® of Lufkin/S. Nacogdoches team as the representative for the Nacogdoches area.
His initial instructions from supervisor Patrick Castillo included “get to know the local businesses, and let them get to know you!”
Dakota found an effective way to do that through the company’s Chamber membership.
He began attending Chamber events and joined the Chairman’s Circle committee. In both, he was able to have high quality, meaningful conversations with a variety of industry decision makers.
“Building relationships is key for my position at SERVPRO. When business and home owners need restoration services, they want to call people they can trust,” Dakota said. “The Nacogdoches County Chamber provided the opportunities for me to connect and build trust with others in the community. Through a Chairman’s Circle contact, I gained a new client.”
With the early success found through Chamber involvement, Dakota plans for more growth in 2020. “The Chamber is an effective marketing tool,” he said. “I’m keeping my eyes, ears and mind open to discovering other Chamber opportunities.”
