Food will be distributed on the following days:
Monday: 9 am to 11:30 am each week—for the next few weeks, the East Texas Food Bank (ETFB) will be sending several hundred pre-packed boxes of nonperishable food from Tyler, accompanied by Texas National Guardsmen for distribution on this day.
Thursday: 9 am to 11:30 am each week AND produce distribution from noon until it’s gone
Second and Fourth Tuesdays of each month from 5 pm to 7 pm—these new evening hours began in Jan. of this year. We will be open tonight. A maximum of two boxes per car will be distributed— identifying information (pantry client cards or DL’s/ID’s) for two different persons will be presented to receive each box.
HOPE’s Drive-Thru Distribution Process—Recipients must show pantry client cards or DL’s/ ID’s for volunteers to record their names and client nos. or their names and addresses, respectively. This information is required for ETFB’s accountability system of OASIS. We request that those in need come through only one time per distribution day so that there will be enough food for others who are in need. Those picking up food in the drive-thru will show pantry client cards or DL’s/ID’s through rolled-up car windows, and volunteers will record required info. on clipboards while wearing gloves and masks.
