U.S. Chamber Launches National Initiative to Address Inequality of Opportunity
Earlier this week, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced a new ongoing initiative to address inequality of opportunity through education, employment, entrepreneurship, and criminal justice reform. The initiative will convene member trade associations, state and local chambers of commerce, and leaders across industries and geographies to help activate efforts and dialogue in local communities.
While announcing the initiative, U.S. Chamber president Suzanne Clark made the following statement:
"The senseless death of George Floyd has called renewed attention to the inequality and injustice in America. We stand in solidarity against racism and advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in our society and economy."
