Outdoor Event Guidelines for Texas as of June 3
Posted 06/10/2020

From Texas Festivals and Events Association:

TFEA continues to advocate for and support the Festivals and Events Industry in Texas.

Governor Abbott announced last week that effective June 3, 2020, the State of Texas is allowing Outdoor Events with an estimated attendance of over 500 people to resume. Health and safety protocols will need to be followed, and Festival and Event planners should compile comprehensive guidelines to manage their events and comply with the opening guidelines.

I want to thank Gayle Hall, CFEE, and PW McCallum - City of Grapevine, Geoff Fairchild, CFEE - City of Farmers Branch, Jonathan Cook - City of Waco, the City of McAllen Office of Emergency Management, McAllen Convention Center and Special Events Team, Elizabeth (Regner) Grigsby, Lubbock Arts Alliance & CFRE; TFEA Taskforce members: Jessica Bybee-Dziedzic, Saffire; David Olivarez, CFEE, Kaliff Insurance; Jay Downie, CFEE, Downtown Fort Worth Initiatives, Inc.; Jeff Krebs, Epicenter Productions; Dianna Lawrence, CFEE, City of Richardson; Joyce Miller, Artisan Art Walk; and Kay Wolf, CFEE whom alongside member cities and festivals worked with the Texas Department of Emergency Management, Governor's staff and the Governor's Strike Force to ensure that Festivals and Special Events can re-open. It is exciting to share the latest announcement from the Governor's Office announcing Phase III opening guidelines.
