Texas businesses were just beginning to remerge and recover from initial shut-down mandates when a spike in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations prompted Governor Abbott to pause reopening tactics. Now faced with the challenges of reduced capacity, delayed supply chains, and shifting consumer demands, businesses are once again bracing for a second wave of uncertainty.
Last week our former CEO, Jeff Moseley, met with CBS Austin to discuss the gravity of the ongoing situation and examine certain tactics that business owners are already implementing. Moseley also gave reassurance that Texas is uniquely equipped to handle strained supply chains due to the state's dynamic trade relations with Mexico and strong infrastructure.
During these times of uncertainty, we are reminded that the best course of action is to follow the safety guidelines set in place by Governor Abbott, elected officials, and health professionals. This includes frequently washing hands, practicing social distancing, and wearing a mask in order to protect one another and prevent unintended economic consequences.
