THE SINGING ZOOLOGIST May 7 | 2 PM
Lucas Miller has been singing the praises of animals and ecosystems since earning his zoology degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, in 1991. Crooning for kids in the sunshine and sea breezes got him hooked on making educational songs that got kids energized while they learned. With titles like “I Don’t Wanna Be Part of the Food Chain,” “The Anaconda La Bamba,” and “Plankton Love Song,” Miller’s songs have earned numerous honors from the Parents’ Choice Foundation, Great American Song Contest, and Booklist and he was even named an “American Masterpiece” by the National Endowment for the Arts. After nearly three decades of performances for over two million children, his presentations are legendary for their mix of humor, creativity, and science. This “singing zoologist’s” smart songwriting, zany stories, and unbridled passion for nature spark curiosity in his young fans and give them a touchpoint for launching into their own explorations of science and wildlife.
This performance is made possible by generous grant funding from the T.L.L. Temple Foundation. For more information about upcoming 2022 events presented by Angelina Arts, visit www.angelinaarts.org.
