Deadline to submit applications is March 31, 2023 The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is accepting applications from Texas employers to participate in a pilot program for a tax incentive for employing apprentices enrolled in a qualifying apprenticeship under the new Registered Apprentice Tax Refund (RATF). With the goal of creating more Registered Apprenticeship programs (RAP) in emerging and diversified fields, eligible employers can receive a state sale and use tax refund of up to $2,500 per apprentice enrolled in a U.S. Department of Labor—Office of Apprenticeship RAP who earned at least seven months of wages in the calendar year.
Employers have until March 31,2023 to apply. Employers will be informed of certification or denial of eligibility after June 1, 2023.
