Nacogdoches Public Library Hosts NEA Big Read Event
The culminating event for the NEA Big Read celebration of the book There There by Tom Orange will be held on Saturday, December 14th at 2:00pm. The event will feature a book discussion and readings from the various writing workshops that were held in conjunction with this event. The event is free. NPL Hosts Holiday Book Giveaway Event
Books from Santa is a new program aimed at encouraging family reading. Parents/caregivers may sign up to have their child(ren) receive a free book from Santa Claus. Books will be gift-wrapped by Santa's elves and families may pick them up on December 23rd from 3:00-4:30pm. Nacogdoches Parks and Recreation Hosts Ritchie Street Park Opening
The City of Nacogdoches hosted an event at Ritchie Street park at the end of November to officially open the park with its new improvements, notably the all abilities playground as well as the newly painted and renovated basketball court. Residents are encouraged to come out and make use of these amenities and tune in for more park improvements yet to come!
