Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation Announces New Amazon Delivery Station
Posted 08/22/2025

Amazon announced plans to expand its investment in Texas by opening a new delivery station. This new facility will be approximately 63,000 square feet located along Highway 59 North, between FM 343-Industrial Drive and Ernest McLain Road. A lot of work is going into getting the facility operational and more details will be shared in the future.

“This last mile facility will allow us to better serve customers in Nacogdoches and the surrounding area,” said Jessica Breaux, senior manager of economic development for Amazon. “We’re grateful for our partnership with the City of Nacogdoches and the Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation. We look forward to sharing more details about this facility in the future.” The new delivery station will help power the last mile of Amazon’s fulfillment process by enabling fast, everyday delivery directly to customers’ doorstep. Packages are transported to delivery stations from Amazon fulfillment and sortation centers and then employees process customer packages for last-mile delivery.

“The opening of Amazon’s last mile delivery station in Nacogdoches marks a step forward for our local economy,” said Nacogdoches Mayor Randy Johnson. “This investment brings jobs and increased connectivity to our region, reinforcing that Nacogdoches is open for business. We’re proud to welcome Amazon and excited for the long-term benefits this partnership will bring to our community.”

Since 2010, Amazon has created 89,000 full- and part-time jobs in Texas and invested more than $70 billion across the state, including infrastructure and compensation to our employees. These investments have contributed an additional $81 billion to the Texas economy and have helped create more than 171,000 indirect jobs on top of Amazon’s direct hires—from jobs in construction and logistics to professional services.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Amazon to Nacogdoches. Their decision to invest here is a strong vote of confidence in our workforce, our infrastructure, and our community’s future,” said Scott Bowyer, Chair of the Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation. “This project reflects the growth NEDCO works hard to support by creating jobs and enhancing services for our region.”
